LIBRARY EXPERIENCE
Access Services Coordinator, Archivist, and Research/Instruction Librarian
- Supervises team of two Circulation Associates and one Archives and Research Associate, including responsibilities for hiring, training, monitoring, evaluating, and assigning work priorities.
- Coordinates hiring and training of approximately 18 circulation student workers.
- As part of a team of instruction librarians, teaches research instruction sessions for Millikin University University Seminar and Critical Writing, Reading, and Research courses each fall and spring semesters.
- Provides collection development and advanced instruction services in the subjects of: Nursing, Biology, Chemistry, Exercise & Sport Science, Music, Education, Communication, Art, and Theatre & Dance.
- Along with assisting patrons at an active research assistance desk, coordinates reponsibilities surrounding research assistance (reference) including: coordination of semester schedules, development of reference collection, and development of new services such as instant message assistance.
- Develops and maintains content and overall cohesiveness and timeliness of Staley Library website: http://www.millikin.edu/staley
- As Archivist (part of position since January 2005), directs creation and maintenance of proper storage, implementation of proper preservation measures, evaluation, arrangement, and processing, and plans for the collection of appropriate archival and special collections.
- Acts as local Web Voyage (OPAC) customizer for Millinet (Staley Library's online catalog).

- Updated electronic journal full text links on PubMed Linkout, OVID Openlinks, CSA, and ISI systems.
- Worked with e-journal registry, adding, correcting, and deleting records.
- Aided patrons at Biology Library reference desk.
