I have presented over 225 in-service presentations for teachers in Macon-Piatt County since coming to Millikin. Presentations topics include assertive discipline, communicating for responsibility and parenting skills.
"Metaphors of Teaching: Uncovering Hidden Instructional Values," To improve the Academy, October 1994.Parenting...You and Your Child...A Curriculum on Parenting for High Risk Parents. Written for Families Consortium, 30 complete lessons designed and written by counselors, teachers, social workers, and paraprofessionals who are working with at risk parents. All teaching aids, overheads, etc. are provided in the curriculum. Written Summer, 1992. Training Program developed and conducted November, 1992.
Deciding...What To Do...An Instructional Manual for Counselors and Teachers. Nine Individual Lessons for use with Middle school students in teaching decision making skills. Developed for Illinois Vocational Counseling Consortium. Now available through Illinois Vocational Curriculum Center Library, Springfield. May, 1990.

In conjunction with the Biology Department and Education Department, I coordinated the publicity and planning for a 5-hour workshop for teachers, sponsored by the James Millikin Trust."What Is The Hidden Curriculum of Science Teaching?" and "Discipline Problems In Science Teaching, How are they Different and How can they be Prevented?" Workshops presented at Frogs, Fungi, Fossils and Forests and intensive workshop for elementary science teachers, conducted jointly by the Science and Education Department of Millikin University, June, 1996, sponsored by the James Millikin Trust.
