Here are the requirements for the presentations:
- Background
of the author: Please give a biographic sketch of the author especially
giving information that might help with our understanding of the book we are
studying. I suggest getting a biography of the author.
- Review
of criticism generated by the book. Here you need to look at essays and
articles written about the literature and give the class an idea about the
kinds of discussions there are about the literature. You must discuss your
findings with the class.
- Responsibility
for preparing a 20-minute presentation discussing the major issues in the
book
- A
PowerPoint presentation or visuals of some sort will be required. The
students will discuss their plan for the visual component with me prior to
the presentation. This is worth 50 points.
Your grade will be determined by the four components. There
will be a peer evaluation of each presentation determining 20% of your grade. I
will determine 80 % of your grade.
