Two Critical Essay/Article Summaries--45 points each
For these two assignments you will see what academic treatments of science fiction novels are like and summarize the argument and content of critical articles written on two novels we are covering in class. It is strongly recommended that you research articles on the two novels you have chosen to do Class Presentations upon.
- --do internet and library research to locate an article, essay or chapter about a novel we are reading in class
- --send email to moconner giving me the name and author of the article (first come, first serve)
- --make a xerox copy of the article/chapter
- --concisely summarize the argument and content of the essay/chapter
- --include an MLA citation at the end of your critical summary
- --include the xerox copy with your critical summary
- -- due Feb and March

- --next type in your social security number as your patron id and click the Go OVID button
- -- choose and click on the "Wilson Humanities Abstracts"
- --in the keyword or phrase window insert the name of the novel to research and click Perform Search button
- --scroll and click through the results; you can check abstracts or read records; click the box of any article information you wish emailed to yourself
- --at the bottom of every page, under the ACTION section, you can click email; fill in your Millikin email address and the results will be sent to you.
