AS10: Electronic Portfolio

Your Electronic Web Portfolio assignment will incorporate a number of elements.

It will offer a hypertextual essay on "A Guide to Web Publishing." This essay will inform an audience what it takes to produce a good well thought out and well designed web presentation. It will essentially summarize most of the knowledge you acquired from this class for the semester, from planning and designing a web presentation to carrying through with the project. See Examples Below.

Your Electronic Portfolio will be reflective in nature.

  • It will collect all of your major assignments for this class into one easily accessed index or table.
  • It will include updates and revisions to all your earlier web assignments, based upon instructor feedback and things you learned in class since the assignment was due.
  • It will provide extended annotations, explaining the purposes of each of your major assignments created for this class, identifying and defending the design emphasis that you decided to concentrate upon for each assignment. You may also comment on how you updated the assignment since it was originally due.

Finally, in the last weeks of the course, you will give an Oral Presentation to the rest of the class on some selected aspects of your portfolio

Generally, this oral presentation will introduce your entire web portfolio then concentrate on presenting your single best web project (or top two or three projects) to the rest of the class, utilizing your web pages and a projector to enhance the presentation.
