Assignment One: Group Presentation

Group Presentation of Textbook Chapter

In assigned groups you will be expected to prepare a concise 15 minute media presentation of an assigned chapter from the Norton and Sprague text, Technology for Teaching. Your Groups

The group must:

• designate equal duties for each group member to perform
• read, analyze and concisely summarize the most important parts of the chapter
• take the summarized content and place it within a media presentation (Power Point recommended)
• create 15 objective quiz questions based on the chapter, due to the professor five days before the presentation
• load the media presentation onto the ED218 Blackboard course
• present this information to the class within a 15 minute time limit
• each group member must write a brief memo making clear the duties and responsibilities carried out by the individual, including an estimate of the total time spent on this project by the individual

The Media presentation should:

-- include concise text summaries and bulleted points

-- limit the amount of information presented on each slide

-- images and visuals, if appropriate

-- some sort of "interactive" component (questions, a quiz, etc.) 

-- concisely summarize the chapter well
