Assignment Three: Newsletter in Microsoft Publisher

25 Points

Create a newsletter using Microsoft Publisher.  The newsletter should be directed toward parents.  The purpose of the newsletter is to imitate a "weekly" newsletter sent home from your class.  You will pretend you are a working classroom teacher, sending home news, information and lessons in the newsletter.  Feel free to "make up" the lessons you are working on during the last week of your teaching, events "going on" in your school, announcements of "upcoming activities" and create a section of the newsletter that lets parents work directly with students on one of your class subjects.

Be imaginative and creative with this assignment.  Insert images where applicable.

To learn how to use Publisher, work through the following publisher workshop (in the form of a newsletter).

How to Use Publisher

When you click on the link, it may ask you to OPEN the file or SAVE it.  Try to Open the file.  If Publisher is loaded on your computer, it will open just fine.

-->alternatively:
While in a lab that has Microsoft Publish loaded on the computer, RIGHT click on the link "How to Use Publisher" above. Go to "Save Target As" or "Save File As."  Place the document in your H: drive or save in a location where you can find the file.

Next, open the Program, Microsoft Publisher and then OPEN your saved file:  publisher.pub

Please turn in the assignment by the due date as a PRINTED newsletter and also send the assignment document to Dr. O'Conner as an attachment to an email.   Name the document with your last name.  Example:  smith.pub

Examples:

McGeehon
Clark
Pfiefer
Freeman
