Assignment One (AS1)

Assignment One: Teaching Methods Journal in Blackboard

During the semester, this assignment requires that you keep a weekly journal, posted on Blackboard, where you record, analyze and reflect about all the various teaching methods you experience or have experienced in the course of your education.

Many of the methods recorded and reviewed should, of course, come from your EN235 class, however you should also expand your observations to all of your educational career, including memorable courses and educational experiences you have had in the past, along with classes you are taking now. Internships should also be a valuable part of these observations.

Postings of your weekly journal entries to the EN235 Blackboard Discussion area are due every Sunday night by midnight. It is highly recommended that you post earlier in the week. Late entries will result in a score of zero for the week. Label your entries by week (Week One Journal) in the subject line. Conclude each entry with a word count like this (435). Weekly entries should range between 350 and 400 words, closer to or beyond 400 words is much better. .

It is strongly recommended that you write your journal entries in Microsoft Word, or an alternate word processor, then copy and paste the entry into Blackboard. Entries should be reflective in nature and demonstrate your ability to write in standard English for an outside audience.
