MOO Resources

Before visiting a MOO, learn MOO netiquette and become familiar with some simple commands.

The basics on netiquette are:

  • read the basic policy information most MOOs offer you when you first log on
  • if classes are meeting or students are collaborating on a project, don't interrupt them
  • if you see other players in "common rooms" it is polite to say hello
  • if you plan to visit a MOO regularly, you should request a character
  • if you wish to speak to a group or persons you chance upon, ask first if now is a good time for them to chat
  • when you are finished exploring, ALWAYS use the @quit command to leave

    Simple MOO Commands

Generally, to enter a MOO type: connect guest

Commands once you have entered a MOO are fairly simple. Type:
