Technology Institute for Music Educators
The Mission of TI:ME
The mission of The Technology Institute for Music Educators is to assist music teachers in applying technology to improve teaching and learning in music. TI:ME is a national organization that has designed a comprehensive curriculum of 10 courses designed to provide teachers with the knowledge and skill necessary for using various technology applications in the music classroom. Courses can lead to two levels of certification in the use of music education technology. More information regarding TI:ME is available at www.ti-me.org.
Certification
TI:ME offers two levels of certification that demonstrate competence in music education technology. ME 490: Utilizing Technology in the Music Classroom: Getting Started fulfills half of the course requirements for Level 1 certification. ME 491:Utilizing Technology in the Music Classroom: Beyond the Basics is one of three courses required for Level 2 certification. - Eligibility to host TI:ME Certification courses at your approved site with an approved instructor.
