Did someone say something about bracelets?!

Looking for one of our cool Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets?  Well, then you came to the right place.  Check out the pictures below.  The bracelets are $1 each and can be bought from my class in RTUC from 5 to 7 or by contacting Dr. Stickles (pstickles@millikin.edu).  All the proceeds will be donated to the local Susan G. Komen chapter.

Here are a few facts about breast cancer according to the American Cancer Society.

It is the most common cancer in women in the United States.

In 2006, about 212,920 women in the US will be diagnosed with  invasive breast cancer

About 40,970 women will die this year from the disease

Right now there are a little over 2 million women living in the US who have been treated for breast cancer.

The chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer during her life is about 1 in 8.

The chance of dying from breast cancer is about 1 in 33.

In 2006, it is estimated that men will account for 1720 cases of breast cancer.
