Aaron Bynum

Aaron H. Bynum has been reading, writing and publishing for a few years now, and hopes to put his writing and editing skills to good use in the construction of Millikin University's prospective publishing firm. With a deep and earnest love for literature and a confidence in his writing much like others his age, Aaron anticipates his role in this new venture will be as influential and meaningful as it can be.

The majority of Aaron's free time is spent reading philosophy, in-depth research and freelance and independent writing on a number of subjects; and as such, he feels that this publishing course is a perfect fit for his skills as an English Studies major as well as for his hobbies as an enthusiast of the literary arts.

His publishing background includes a lot of independent writing, which in part consists two novellas and a variety of poems, as well as includes freelance writing and publishing mostly by the means of the Internet. In contributing to a number of online news organizations, and as such Aaron has some experience in internet/online marketing and public relations as well.

An active supporter and recent member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, Aaron completed an internship at Millikin Quarterly, the University alumni magazine this past semester. Hoping to learn more about the trenches of the publishing industry and hoping to apply his writing skills wherever possible, he is anxious to work with other students (and faculty) in assembling this new publishing firm. Aaron's ultimate goal is to obtain exciting and challenging employment where he can use his course experience in professional writing, communication and teamwork skills.

Skill areas: professional writing, magazine journalism, newspaper journalism, essay writing, researching, copyediting, data analysis, interviewing and more.
