As a Junior seeking my BFA through Graphic Design/Studio classes, I aim to be an illustrator. More specifically in children’s books. With two book in the process of being completed, I have some limited knowledge on how to publish my works. I hope to have both done, along with a 3rd book via printmaking, before I’m a Senior. As soon as they are finished I’ll seek a publisher. The ultimate goal is to have my series completed before I graduate. I’ve worked on this specific children’s book series for over six years now and won’t give up on this dream. My skills that span across all mediums of art (painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photo, etc.) can only be as good as my creativity. But I believe this is my strongest suit I bring to the table. While taking a few Creative Writing classes as well, I hope to become more rounded as a children’s book creator. Something that this class can hopefully accomplish.
