Daily Routine

During the day under the florescent
He sits behind a desk.
A customer on the phone
Another waiting to close a loan.
The man behind the desk
Making dreams come true.

untitled

Oh, what a beautiful day.
I was dressed all in white
You were in your tux.
Our friends and family gathered near.

Everything was perfect
For the first few months
Then something changed
And the fighting began.

We fought over everything
Big and small.
Nothing made us happy anymore
Except when we were apart.

I could not take it anymore
And you walked out
What else could we do?
But end this misery.

Untitled

Sitting behind the desk with papers piled high
Answering the phone and scheduling more appointments.
Another customer in the door
A big sigh ends the day.

To My Son

I remember carrying you to the nursery,
You were so small and perfect.
I did not realize how much love
One person could have.

You wore your snow boots
In the middle of summer
You had your shorts on
When it was 102 degrees outside.

I taught you how to ride your bike
Now you want to race it
Remember your PW50?
Now you are ready for a 125cc.

Your first year of high school is almost over
Three more years before you leave
It has been amazing watching you grow
I can not wait for the next chapter

Where did my little boy go?
I really miss him.

Cubs win! Cubs win!
Opening day
of baseball season.
No better way
to begin the spring.

Graduation day
is finally here.
No more homework.
My life is back.
Reintroducing myself to my family.

My love for you
Has grown over the years.
I am content
With our family
And our love.

The Easter Lilies
Are beginning to bloom.
Spring is here
In all its glory.
What a wonderful time of year.

My two boys
I love you so.
Smart and handsome
Funny, yet serious.
Oh, how proud I am.

Like being hit
with a whip,
the rain
is coming down
in sheets.

One walk,
Two walks,
Three walks.
Frustration shows
on the pitcher's face.

Laughter everywhere
from the children playing.
Not even the spring shower
can ruin the excitement
of the Easter egg hunt.

Bright red and yellow
tulips in the garden
giving first life
to the new season.
Spring

The smell
of the fresh cut grass
dandelions gone
for a while
only to return soon.

My love for you
Has grown over the years.
I am content
With our family
And our love.

Sitting together under the stars
Amazed at how our love has grown
The content we feel
With our family
And our love.

The Guiding Light

The light of the beacon
Shines bright
Protecting the sailors.
The Lighthouse.

The dangers of the rough seas
Rock piles hidden
Shown by the guiding light.
The Lighthouse.

Saving lives
Protecting all the way
Some still get lost.
The Lighthouse.
